Estudiantes de La Plata will seek a victory today that will place him in the quarter-finals of the Copa Libertadores, when they host Fortaleza, from Brazil, headed by Argentina’s Juan Pablo Vojvoda.
The match, which will be the rematch of the one played last week in Brazil and ended in a draw (1-1), will be played at the UN Jorge Luis Hirschi stadium, starting at 21:30, will be broadcast by Fox Sports and will have as referee the Uruguayan Esteban Ostojich.
The winner of the tie will advance to the quarter-finals, where they will meet Athlético Paranaense from Brazil, who eliminated Libertad from Paraguay.
In case of a tie, the winner will be defined with a series of shots from the spot.
Students and Libertadores have lived a love story for decades, when between 1968 and 1970 “Pincha” won the trophy led by DT Osvaldo Zubeldía three times, winning the title again in 2009 with Alejandro Sabella as coach.
