Banfield will host Union this Saturday in a match corresponding to the seventh date of the Professional Football League. The duel will begin at 6pm at the Florencio Sola stadium, will be directed by Nazareno Arasa and broadcast by ESPN Premium.
Banfield, with Claudio Vivas as manager, started the tournament with a 2-1 home defeat to Newell’s and then won three games and drew two. He has 11 points and plans to move closer to Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata and Newell’s, both leading with 14 points.
The Union will seek a victory that will allow them to leave behind the elimination in the round of 16 of the Copa Sudamericana at the hands of Nacional de Montevideo. In the Professional League he is well placed, with 10 units, and in the last two appearances he has beaten Boca as a guest 2-1 and Lanús in Santa Fe 3-0.
These two teams will meet this afternoon and then meet again on Tuesday, but this time for the round of 16 of the Argentine Cup and at the Estadio Único de San Nicolás.
