The game played this Saturday night between Platense Y by Newelltwo teams hosting the First Division tournament, was contested, bitter and full of fiber this Saturday night.
The generation of ideas was not abundant, nor was the game flashy during the first phase. The game seemed born to end in a draw.
However, when the spectators who attended the Ciudad de Vicente López stadium expected to see their team go to the showers with a score of 0-0, a unusual move shocked them.
Forty minutes later, “Leprosy” threw a ball from below which landed at the foot of the “Squid” defense. Defender Pignani made a back pass to block his goalkeeper. But when Ledesma tried to stop her, the ball passed over her left foot.
It was evident that the ball was bouncing off the grass before reaching it. So the uneven state of the pitch and the speed of the freshly watered field could have damaged it in this unpleasant play for the local team.
Long faces in place and jumping for joy for Newell who keeps the lead. With this goal against, the team of the Rosario went on to win the match 1-0.
The team led by Sanguinetti went to the showers as the only undefeated leader in the Professional League, reaching 17 units. Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata could match it on Sunday afternoon when they visit Atlético Tucuman.
