Fire and drama for Sainz's Ferrari in Formula 1: the Spaniard managed to escape just enough

One of more dramatic moments of the Austrian Grand Prix was experienced this Sunday when the Spaniard Carlos Sainzhad to leave after an engine problem it caused a quick fire which forced him to do so desperately get out of his car, in the middle of the flames.

Sainz, who had won for the first time in Formula 1 at Silverstone, England a week ago, was the star of the race, with fifteen laps to go.

The good performance of the Ferraris in this eleventh round of the 2022 season seemed to lead the Italian team to a safe 1-2 at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg.

Sainz is third but annoys the World Cup leader, the Dutch Max Verstappen (Red Bull), second behind the Monegasque Charles Leclerc, companion of the Spaniard and who finally gets the victory.

But the engine of the Madrid Ferrari started to give off sparks, it managed to leave the edge of the track at turn 4, while the flames literally dominated the red of the car.

Sainz managed to leave the cubicle with just enoughwhile the track managers monitored the fire that broke out on the Ferrari.
