The Nagoya Women’s Marathon is the largest women’s race in the world and the one that delivers the highest prize in elite circuits, 250 thousand dollars. And its organizers have already announced the date of the new edition, which will take place on March 12 next year.
They will participate in the race 22 thousand competitors local, as well as 3,500 international athletes. Each runner-up will receive a Tiffany & Co. branded pendant as a souvenir.

Even during the pandemic, the race was held by reducing the number of entrants and taking all possible measures against Covid-19, providing runners with the great stage to face the 42.195 km challenge. The Nagoya Women’s Marathon will return to its original court size in 2023.
In the competition held in March this year, Kenyan Ruth Chepngetich won with a time of 2h17: 18, while the Israeli Lonah Chemtai Salpeter finished second with 2h18: 44. The podium was completed by Yuka Ando, the first local representative, who reached the finish line with 2h22: 22.
