A decade has passed the most important club volleyball tournament in the country again has 12 participants: After one last time in 2012, this Tuesday the Argentine Volleyball League Club Association (ACLAV) announced that the 2022/2023 season of the Argentine Volleyball Championship It has a dozen teams registered.

UPCN San Juan Volleyball, City of Buenos Aires, Police Volleyball, Eleven Unidos, Club Atlético Paracao, River Plate, Obras de San Juan, Monteros Volleyball, Defensores de Banfield and UVT Volleyball have officially ratified its continuity and They will be joined by San Lorenzo de Almagro and the Municipal Volleyball Association El Calafate (AMUVOCA)who obtained the place for sporting merit respectively of champion and runner-up of the last edition of the promotion tournament.

The last record of 12 participating teams dates back to the 2011/2012 championship. that cycle had UPCN as a championstill in the first steps of his hegemonic path which has led him to be the most successful club with nine consecrations and currently defending the title.

Another fact is that for the second consecutive season, the tournament records an increase in the number of participants: from 7 to 11 in preview of the 2021/2022 edition and now with the return in 12 teams after a decade in which he would not have made it.

The ACLAV has also made it official that the season will have three competitions, like the last edition: Supercoppa, in the second half of October with the best four of the LVA RUS 21/22 (UPCN, City, Police and Once United); ACLAV Argentina Cup, in the second fortnight of December with all the teams and places available for the South American Cup for Clubs; and LVA RUS, which will maintain the Tour format. There will be seven in the Regular Phase, which will run from November 3, 2022 to February 26, 2023, plus a Tour of the Quarterfinals, which will start the Play Offs from March 7. Then, the semi-finals (best of 3 games) and final (best of 5) will be played at home-away, from March 16 to April 13.
