Alejandro Maldonado is a reference in Paralympic athletics in our country and in South America. Still active at 44 – and with the ambition of qualifying for the Paris Paralympics in 2024 – Maldonado is also focusing on activities in support of other Paralympics.

In addition, he is preparing his participation in the two most followed athletic events on the national calendar, the 21k in Buenos Aires on 21 August and the Buenos Aires International Marathon on 18 September.
Maldonado has already represented the country at the Athens and Beijing Paralympics and in several international events, including the New York Marathon where he finished 15th in the wheelchair race. In addition to the road and road events, he also did it on the athletics tracks, obtaining four medals at the Para-Pan American Games in Lima 2019.
