Exactly at the same time as Eduardo Domínguez filed his resignation at the top of Independiente, the Lomas de Zamora Court of Appeal for Civil and Commercial Matters issued its ruling in favor of protection presented by the opposition group led by Fabiano Domanwhich means a judicial setback for the president Hugo Moiano. “Justice done, now we can participate in the elections with the Traditional Independent Group. We had not presented the cards in the wrong way. They had forbidden it.”said an exultant Doman a Clarione. And I add: “Now Moyano has to call elections now. Independiente cannot wait and needs immediate solutions”.
The ruling of the Lomas Chamber revoked the first instance ruling in favor of the ruling party which was challenged by the opposition on May 31st. “Revoke the suspension decreed as a precautionary measure on December 15, 2021. Notify Club Atlético Independiente that the electoral process has resumed, and must allow the participation of the list sponsored by the Traditional Independent Group”expresses the error.
Moyano, Doman and Rudecindo are the three candidates for the presidency of Independiente.
In any case, the party in power could appeal on an extraordinary appeal which the Chamber must enable and which the Supreme Court must accept. Should this happen, the legal proceedings will continue and everything will continue as before, with Moyano temporarily leading the club until there is a final ruling.
The elections were suspended last December after the amparo appeal filed in Justice by Cristiano Ritondoa space member who has Doman as a presidential candidate, plus Nestore Grindetti Y Giovanni Marconirespectively as candidates for the position of 1st and 2nd Deputy Chairman.

Therefore, the entire Independent hopes that the election date will be announced soon. This is what the fans and partners strongly demand every time the team plays in Avellaneda. And, as the Justice has established, they will be able to choose between the three original options: Moyano, Doman and Rudecindo.
