Tiemoué Bakayoko had a big scare last Sunday. The French AC Milan player was driving calmly around the city when he was intercepted by a group of policemen and a moment of tension ensued. They searched him and an officer pointed a weapon at the interior of his vehicle..

The midfielder, whose pass belongs to Chelsea, was not initially recognized by the police. Though when they figured out his identity, they released him and let him go. The reasons for the confusion that led to the interception of the player are still unknown.

Although the situation was somewhat tense at first, the scene became comical when they realized he was a professional footballer. It can be seen the surprise on the face of the policeman who was checking him out when he realized his unusual mistake.

Despite winning the Scudetto with Milan last season, Bakayoko’s future is uncertain. The French midfielder was bought by Chelsea in 2017 in exchange for 40 million euros, but did not perform as expected.

The Blues have lent him four times in a row (Milan, Monaco, Naples and, again, Milan). The coach of the London team, Thomas Tuchel, does not take this into account and will have to find a new destination. Although his loan expires in June 2023, he may leave Italy early.

Two clubs are interested in the 27-year-old: Valencia and Olympique de Marseille.. In the Spanish club he could find himself with Gennaro Gattuso, with whom he coincided in Milan. The French team led by Igor Tudor, on the other hand, wants him to strengthen in view of the next UEFA Champions League.
