The Shareholders’ Meeting has ended Independent With the approval of the budget and after the members of the assembly left, chaos broke out. As the management retreated to a side street, the Red fans started throwing stones and the police responded with rubber bullets and gas.

The assembly had only three members of the Board of Directors: the president Hugo MoianoSecretary Hector Maldonado and the treasurer Atilio Bouza. Also, Daniel Gonzalez, the auditor. The rest did not go. Inside were 39 members of the ruling party assembly and four of the opposition, divided equally between two groups.

From the start, several Buenos Aires police forces covered the entire block where the club’s headquarters are located. Two hours earlier, almost half a thousand fans blocked the traffic: access to the Pueyrredon bridge is in “editing mode”.

The only issue discussed was the budget, which was approved by the official majority and without the opposition vote.

Beyond the anger over the approved budget, the club’s members and supporters have become inflamed as they demand that the elections take place as soon as possible. The elections were scheduled for last December, but a series of legal disputes has ensured that the mandate of Moyano and company remains in force in the midst of an institutional and football crisis.

The Independent Group, that of the ruling party, has advanced on social networks that this is a possibility, but the same opposition takes it with a grain of salt since it was a biased and unofficial statement.

Within the assembly there were 100 members who are not members of the assembly and would be linked to the ruling party. On the street, the watch of the fans moved around the corner, into the back access through which the authorities entered and exited before chaos erupted.
