The match between Independiente and Atlético Tucumán was suspended this Friday due to the violence that occurred for more than an hour in the clubhouse in Avellaneda and its surroundings after the Assembly of Members in which the budget for the period was drawn up. 2022-2023.
The match, valid for date 10 of the Professional Football League, would be played this Saturday from 18:00 at the Libertadores de América-Ricardo Bochini stadium. This was decided by Aprevide, the body responsible for the safety of sporting events in Buenos Aires, by order of the provincial minister of security, Sergio Berni.
“The suspension seems wise to us for the possible problems that may arise on the field. I have discussed it with Claudio Tapia and the guarantees are not given”, said on La Red radio Eduardo Aparicio, head of Aprevide.

“It may be that we play during the week behind closed doors. Tomorrow (Saturday) we will meet with AFA staff to determine when it will be rescheduled. They have the power to set the day,” he added.
And he closed: “The police were realizing their goal, which was the cordon, and it was raining stones and bottles. They had no choice but to disperse somehow.”

Serious incidents occurred this afternoon, with police authorities firing rubber bullets and tear gas at a core of demonstrators at the door of the clubhouse. It happened while a general meeting was taking place inside the building in which the club’s budget for the financial year 2022-2023 was finally approved.
The races and general dismissal of the fans towards the containment fences placed at the headquarters of Avenida Miter 470 were born when it became known that “the ruling party has not even touched on the question of the presidential elections”.

In this way, the security forces of Buenos Aires confronted the fans by throwing rubber bullets and tear gas to try to deter the rioters.
The clash left an unknown number of injured among protesters, police and workers, while President Hugo Moyano left the premises through a side door, in a hurry and with custody.
The Council was attended by Moyano, Héctor Maldonado (secretary), Atilio Bauza (treasurer) and Daniel González (auditor), but not Fabián Doman (Traditional Independent Association) and Claudio Rudecindo (Independent People), the main representatives of the opposition in club.
