He escaped from the operating room, but even so these are not days of smiles for Néstor Ortigoza. A groin pain (severe pain in the pubic area) hasn’t left him calm for a while, makes it difficult for him to train and much more to play. That’s why after a series of medical studies, the 37-year-old midfielder and the San Lorenzo medical staff have determined that he will have to undergo kinesiological treatment that will keep him off the pitch for at least three weeks.

He had started with everything in the Ruben Darío Insua cycle. The experienced midfielder surprised starting his debut against Independiente and the second round with Newell’s. But he remained in the clutches of a complicated injury from the area and why his recovery could be treacherous.

In this semester, Ortigoza was able to play in just four games. Two from the start (the aforementioned first two days) and two from the bench: Arsenal and Banfield. In total he adds 231 minutes of play. He only completed one game, against Newell.

He repeated with Banfield in the south and there he had to enter the complement. However, the discomfort worsened thereafter to the point that he had to stop again. The last two intersections have been lost, with Unión and with Talleres. And as his situation was becoming very unstable, he decided to do some studies to evaluate the possibility of surgery.

“The player Néstor Ortigoza has chronic tendinopathy of the left median adductor and must undergo physical therapy”was the short medical report provided by the boedo club after the results of the exams carried out recently.

Although the recovery time is not detailed, Clarione he may know it will take at least three weeks, but it will depend on evolution. Deadlines could also get longer.

Ortigoza has a contract until the end of the year with the Cyclone, where he is an idol together with Sebastián Torrico. His intention is to be able to make it happen and then decide on his future. And you want to finish the active tournament. For this reason he has also chosen to brake and find a solution to his groin in order to face the last part of the championship, which is still missing more than half of the course.
