Adolfo Gonzales Chaves’ city of Buenos Aires has become news for an act of violence in football: two players savagely beat a female referee in the match between Club Deportivo Universitario and Deportivo Garmense, for the Third Division of the Tresarroyense Regional League.
The images of aggression speak for themselves. Everything happens in the middle of the second half, when the player Cristian Tirone, entered the scene after the referee, Magalí Cortadi, showed a yellow card: the Garmense player attacked her cowardly with a punch from behind, at the peak of the nape of the neck.
The blow knocked the referee down. But when he was on the ground, another player joined the attack and kicked him to the ground. The arrival of the assistant referees and the police prevented everything from getting worse.
The police report clearly identifies Tirone as the judge’s aggressor: “Before the penalty of the foul, he attacked the referee Dalma Magali Cortadi (30), hitting her with a fist at the neck, causing her to fall to the ground, turning her attack with kicks “.
Now the player was prosecuted for violation of Law 11.929 for the crime of Minor Injuries and in these hours he would have had to testify before the local Prosecutor’s Office.
The meeting was suspended and Cortadi was treated at González Chaves hospital with minor injuries for which, after routine examinations, she was discharged.
