Boca Juniorsto walk shaky in the Professional football championship (LPF), receives Platense in a match valid for date 12 in which he will try to recover his best version, the one shown in the first half when he was champion of the national tournament.
The match will be played from 21:00 at the Bombonera, will be refereed by Yael Falcón Pérez, with Jorge Baliño at the head of the VAR, and broadcast on television by the ESPN signal.
Xeneize has 15 points after winning five games and losing six, the last with a defeat including in Paraná against Patronato (3-0), which deepened a streak that began with the elimination of the Copa Libertadores at the hands of Corinthians, then this was followed by the expulsion of DT Sebastián Battaglia and subsequently the traumatic departure of captain Carlos Izquierdoz.
Opposite will be Platense, who has 18 points (seven less than the Atlético Tucumán leader) and has just lost one match, the classic with Tigre (3-0), even if he drew too much, six times, the last in the last appointment without a goal to Vicente Lopez with Central Barracks.
The record between the two is 123 games and largely favors Xeneizes, who have won 54 times against Calamares 27, while drawing 42 times.
The last time Boca and Platense met at the Bombonera was almost 24 years ago, on 4 October 1998, when Boca won 3-0 with goals from José Pepe Basualdo, Juan Román Riquelme and Walter Samuel.
That team led by Carlos Bianchi was crowned undefeated champion of that Apertura tournament and had Riquelme, the club’s current vice president, as one of its figures, and Jorge Bermúdez, one of the Football Council members, also played that match.
