Samuel Montembeault has made nine saves so far, while his vis-à-vis Connor Hellebuyck has stopped all six shots aimed at him.

Montembeault provided his best save for Adam Lowry in the second half of the first period. The 29-year-old center had the first goal of the match at the end of his stick, but the CH goalkeeper stole it with his left foot.

Cayden Primeau acts as an auxiliary goaltender for the game. Jake Allen is on the sideline due to a lower body injury, while Carey Price is continuing his fitness.

This is the Jets ’only visit to Montreal this season. In the last meeting of the two teams, the Jets won in Winnipeg, 8-4. Josh Anderson scored a hat trick in the defeat.
