Pacheco’s killers are still free

Pacheco (32), editor of the site “Corse o niente” and host of a radio program linked to the sports organization, was found dead on 24 January 2013 in the swimming pool of the Villa del Parco, after a barbecue he shared with the defendants.

Rulet, Domínguez Butler and Rodríguez initially said Pacheco had drowned, but tests carried out on the journalist’s body determined that he had actually been beaten.

The 12-year sentences were handed down on 6 December 2016 at the end of an oral debate in which it was found that Pacheco had not drowned, but had previously been beaten and then thrown into the headquarters pool.
