Gymnastics partners demand the expulsion of Martín Tetaz after his statements about the attack on Cristina Kirchner

A group of partners Gymnastics and Fencing La Plata launched a campaign to expel the national deputy Martin Tetaz of the provincial capital club for his statements on the matter the attempted murder of vice president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.

Partners of the La Plata institution announced on Saturday their rejection of the attack and the public demonstrations of the legislator, who relativized the gravity of the fact and he suspected the political motivations behind the attack that took place Thursday evening in Recoleta.

Through a press release, the members reported a request for membership to request the withdrawal of the Tetaz card, an initiative that will be presented in the institute and taken into consideration at the next Assembly.

The promoters of the measure believe that the deputy “does not meet the conditions of integrity, good conduct and integrity required for admission or stay” in Gymnastics.

“We regret the unfortunate public statements of the deputy Martín Tetaz, who relativized the gravity and the political motivations of said attempted murder”, reads the letter requesting the expulsion, protected by article 33 of the statute of the body.

A few minutes after the attack on Fernández de Kirchner, the deputy from Buenos Aires who is part of the Together for Change coalition posted on Twitter that it was not an act of “violent politics” and emphasized “custody failure”.

We strongly repudiate the attack suffered by Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, two-time President of the Argentine Nation, current Vice President and recognized supporter of our beloved institution. In the same sense, we deplore the unfortunate public statements made by the deputy of the nation Martín Tetaz, who downplayed the gravity and the political motivations of this attack. Pursuant to article no. 33 of our Honorable Statute, we ask for the immediate removal of Mr. Tetaz as a member of the institution, insofar as he does not meet the conditions of integrity, good conduct and reputation required for his entry or stay, exhibiting an apparent lack of commitment to the defense of democratic institutions. In defense of unlimited social peace and by protecting ourselves in the rule of law of our club, we believe that he cannot afford to support people with these characteristics under his ranks.
