The Club Once Unidos stadium in Mar del Plata will host the Super Cup.
In the 22/23 calendar of the Lega Volley Argentina, the highest category of volleyball for Argentine clubs, two new destinations are confirmed: Mar del Plata will host the Supercoppa, the tournament that opens the season in October, and Formosa will host the ACLAV Argentina Cup, in December as the closure of the activity for this year.
As in the 21/22 edition, the Super Cup will bring together the four best teams of the previous cycle to open the game: UPCN San Juan Vóley, current LVA RUS champion; Ciudad Vóley, defender of the Super Cup title and last second in the league; Police Volley, latest ACLAV Argentina Cup winner and Lega semifinalist; and Eleven Unidos, also in the top four of last season.
The race will be played on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd October with single-game semifinals in first place and definition of the podium on the last day. Ciudad, last year’s Super Cup champion in San Juan, will play in the semifinals against Policial de Formosa, while the local Once Unidos will face the powerful UPCN.
It was also confirmed that the Argentine ACLAV Cup will stop in Formosa between Friday 16 and Thursday 22 December with the 12 teams of the season: UPCN, Ciudad, Police, Once Unidos, Paracao, Obras de San Juan, River, Monteros Vóley, Defenders of Banfield, UVT Vóley, San Lorenzo and AMUVOCA.
In this way Policial, the sensation of last season, will take the field in front of his team to defend the title of the second most important tournament in the category. The Cup will begin with a first round with a group stage and then a single Play Off match with the instances of the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final.
