Aldosivi management fired this Thursday Leandro Somoza as coach of “Tiburón” due to the poor campaign of the team, which is in last place in the professional football league and in the relegation zone.

Somoza, 41, will not continue to be the DT of the Mar del Plata team, according to sources from the Mar del Plata club, although the official confirmation of the institute still remains, which will be given on this day.

Aldosivi comes from the 3-0 defeat against Arsenal, as a guest on the last day, a result that aroused discontent on the part of the “Shark”, who yesterday was present at the club’s sports facility to ask for the resignation of the coach.

“Flaco” led Aldosivi in 16 games, with only three wins, three draws and ten defeats, the last four in a row: 1-2 against Sarmiento, 0-3 against Independiente, 1-2 against Newell’s Old Boys and 0- 3 against the “Viaduct” team.

Aldosivi is at the bottom of the table with 13 units, like Vélez Sarsfield, and is also in the relegation zone together with Patronato de Paraná.

El Tiburón plays a separate tournament against Entre Ríos’s team (who have bridged the gap and reached a point) but also with those who are saving at the moment: they are 9 units behind Arsenal and Central Córdoba, when they remain from play seven games. It seems like a chimera, even if a drop in Sarmiento de Junín (divided by fewer games) could give him stability too.

The coaches who seem to be alternatives to replace Somoza are Fernando “Teté” Quiroz – already directed by Aldosivi – and Sergio “Huevo” Rondina, the last step of the Colón de Santa Fe.
