Aldosives confirmed the departure of Leandro Somoza as a first team coach. The decision was made the day before, but was communicated 24 hours later, along with the appointment of Diego Villar as interim manager.
Somoza led Aldosivi in 16 games and gets three wins, three draws and ten defeats, the last four in a row: 1-2 against Sarmiento, 0-3 against Independiente, 1-2 against Newell’s and 0-3 against Arsenal.
El Tiburón is at the bottom of the table with 13 units, just like Vélez Sarsfield, and also is in the relegation zone together with the Patronage of Paraná. In this sense, on Monday the team will play a key match against Central Córdoba in Santiago del Estero.
Initially the meeting was scheduled for 19:00, but the Agency for the Prevention of Violence in Sports (APREVIDE) ordered overtaking at 17:00for operational reasons. In this way, the match valid for the 21st date of the Professional Football League tournament will be played two hours earlier at José María Minella.
“This Friday Leandro Somoza has formally ceased to be the technical director of the first division. The training is directed by Diego Pipa Villar,” the club from Mar del Plata reported on their official Twitter account. The coaches who seem to have alternatives to replace Somoza are Fernando You Quiroz -already director Aldosivi- and Sergio Egg Rondina, last step through Colón de Santa Fe.
Aldosivi – Central Córdoba is a key clash in the fight for permanence and will be the first match of the day on Monday which will also see the duel between Colón and Argentinos, at the Brigadier General Estanislao López stadium.
