Coming to the modern Hard Rock Stadium there is a smell of roasting. The smoke carries the most tempting fragrance of all foods across Miami’s deep blue sky. It’s warm. Much. And there isn’t a cloud. But it doesn’t matter to the Argentines who are waiting to see Lionel Messi’s national team. There they are, with their fridges, their deck chairs and … their portable grills! Yes, in advance Argentina and Hondurasthe furore was the vacuum-packed sandwiches and chorizo, accompanied by the inevitable fernet and beer.
“We are very happy because it is like feeling at home again,” he says with emotion in his voice and eyes. Ana Sorey, an Argentine who protects herself from the merciless sun with a flag on her head.
