An unexpected accident occurred in Nascar. Pilot Andrew Grady went to take revenge on his rival Davey Callihan because it crashed during qualifying for the Martinsville 300, one of the largest late model races in the world.
Grady addressed Callihan very violently, while his colleague was in the car and restrained by the seat belt. The situation quickly escalated and Grady started hitting him with pineapple. Callihan while still tied to the car. He also kicked the car.
Some relatives had to go find Grady to reassure him. In the images it is observed how an apparently security person manages to contain the pilot and lift him in his arms as if he were a little boy to remove him from the scene.
Grady, speaking with television, claimed that Callihan had smiled wryly when he went looking for him, then reacted violently. “There are idiots who can’t drive a lawn mower let alone a late model in Martinsville.”
Callihan, for his part, defended himself in an interview. He said that these kinds of races are like that and they can’t “give an inch” when they are in the overtaking zones. “These are difficult races. I apologize to him first, but we’re fighting for our lives out there. So I did what I had to do, “said the attacking pilot. Furthermore, he denied making fun of Grady.
