The news site VGC extension confirmed in February the link between Lego and 2K for a new line of sports games, starting with an American football game developed by the Sumo Digital studio.

However, a new brick-built minifigure spotted on the toymaker’s certification page, shared by Instagram user 1414falconfan, indicates that NBA 2K game developer reportedly has a soccer game in development.

The packaging shows the character, apparently named Finnius Dash, standing on a playing field wearing a purple shark head mask and what Looks like a Barcelona shirt.

Basically, the packaging also says Lego Games across the top as well features the 2K logo in the bottom cornersuggesting a connection to the game.

Since Finnius Dash isn’t a known character in any existing 2K games, it’s likely he’ll appear in the 2K Lego soccer game that VGC reported earlier this year.

It’s also possible that the figure mentioned in the leak doesn’t necessarily suggest the game will have an accompanying toy line – it could just be a promotional product to give away at events rather than something designed to be sold to the public.

It is also developing a third Lego sports titlebased on a major sports franchise, the sources said.

2K’s deal represents a new era for Lego games following a previous exclusivity deal with Warner’s TT Games. Since 2005, Lego console games based on licensed properties such as Star Wars, Marvel and Harry Potter have been almost entirely developed by the British studio.

TT Games has also worked on original Lego games such as Lego City Undercover, Bionicle Heroes and Lego Dimensions, and had the ability to veto deals with other game developers proposing console titles, according to people familiar with his deal. .

Hello FIFA, hello EA Sports FC – the future of virtual football

The more than 30-year break with world soccer’s parent company led American publisher Electronic Arts to move forward with the virtual soccer franchise, but under another name: EA Sport FC.

Despite the name change, the franchise has promised to keep its signature style that all its followers know, along with the teams expected for the edition.

According to the esports developer, this change will allow EA to offer its growing community to play with more than 19,000 players, 700 teams, 100 stadiums and 30 sports leagues globally.

In this sense EA Sports FC is expected to continue licensing major continental leagues and tournaments: UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, CONMEBOL Libertadores, Premier League, Bundesliga, LaLiga, Serie A and MLS, among many others.

It should be remembered that the debut of EA Sports FC will be only at the end of 2023 and that the only significant change will be the name, as pertinent updates and improvements will be made to this new edition.
