Unpacked 2023: everything Samsung could present

In recent weeks, rumors have begun to circulate on the Internet about the Galaxy S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra that will animate the first Unpacked of 2023.

Ice universewell-known leaker in the world of mobile telephony, has advanced some technical details of the family, which will compete directly with that of the iPhone 15.

In principle, the Samsung Galaxy S23 would have innovations in energy matters. Its 3,900mAh battery with 25W fast charging would have an increase over the 3,700mAh cell of its S22 version, thus gaining more hours of autonomy.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S23+ would also get a boost from 200mAh to 4700mAh with 45W fast charging.

The premium version, Galaxy S23 Ultra, would be powered by a 5,000mAh battery and 45W fast charging, the same one Samsung has been rolling out to this class of devices since the beginning of 2020.

Various promotional images of the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra have also been released in their respective colors, respectively pink and olive green. This is also the first time you can see the official look of the new Samsung flagships.

The S23 will instead receive increased maximum brightness levels: the screen of the smallest smartphone should have a maximum of 1750 nits. For reference, the current Galaxy S22 has a maximum brightness level of just 1,300 nits, and the S22 Plus and S22 Ultra versions have a maximum brightness level of 1,750 nits for regular use in bright sunlight.

When it comes to cameras, one of the hallmarks of the “S” family, rumored to be the S23, is the inclusion of a 200-megapixel main camera, which will replace the S22’s 108-megapixel one. This advance would be exclusive to the Ultra model. Meanwhile, the remaining versions (S23 and S23+) would come with a 50-megapixel main camera.

For its part, the next generation of top-of-the-line phones will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, developed by the North American company Qualcomm.

This condition will mark the departure of Exynos processors (of their own production), which will now definitively include Qualcomm chips in all models, without the need to segment it, as it did in the past when it sold its units with different processors according to the type of market .
