The latest wave of layoffs, last week, still affected more than 10% of employees survivors after the brutal cuts of the last few months.

You haven’t replied to my emails. Maybe if a lot of people retweet me, you reply to me?” the tweet reads.

The conversation It didn’t take long for him to get all kinds of reactions. And answers. Shortly thereafter, Musk deleted some of his tweets and AlexCoen, former Twitter employee, shared a screenshot of the entire conversation. It was then that the tycoon wanted to give his version of events.

“The reality is this guy (who is independently wealthy) hasn’t had any real work, he claimed as an excuse that he had a disability that prevented him from typing, but at the same time he was tweeting. Can’t say I have much respect for him for that.” replied the CEO. “But he was fired? No, you can’t be fired if you weren’t working before!”

An hour later, he publicly apologized for his “misinterpretation of his situation.” Furthermore, the CEO assured that the Icelandic “is considering staying on Twitter.”

Thorleifsson joined the company shortly after acquiring his company in 2020, in a management role that didn’t require him to spend too many hours on the computer.
