When you look at this flexible device, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 comes to mind, with which it shares, in addition to the format, its 6.8-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution, a dual camera and even the same last name.

The range of differences is also large. For example, Oppo’s external screen is larger, reaching 3.26 inches versus its rival’s 1.9 inches, with a resolution of 382 by 720 pixels. It can be used to install an interactive virtual pet that imitates all the gestures of its bearer.

The terminal includes a MediaTek Diemsity 9000+ processor, a SoC that for many specialists exceeds to the Qualcomm chip and which, in this case, is accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.

This phone with the seal of Google never set foot on Argentine soil, at least officially. Visually, it is similar to the previous model, keeping the edges of the screen rounded. The construction of the terminal is based on noble materials such as aluminum and glass, with IP68 protection.

It achieves a high resolution of 1,440 by 3,120 pixels (QHD+), with a refresh rate of 120 hertz, which ensures smooth scrolling on the screen. The technology used (LTPO-OLED at 512 ppi) ensures that the content appears super sharp.

Like Apple, Google relies on in-house developed processors. In this case, the Tensor G2 debuts, based on a 5-nanometer manufacturing process, which improves speech recognition, speech-to-text transcription, instant translations and system integration.

On the back are three sensors. The main one is a 50 MP Samsung GN1, with ISOCELL lens, f/1.85 focal aperture, 1.20 µm and 1/1.31” pixels. With digital and optical image stabilization (OIS).

The ultra wide angle is 12 MP, with a focal length of f/2.2. The telephoto lens is a Samsung S5KGM1 sensor that acts as an optical and digital zoom up to 30x with a focal length of f/3.5 and a size of ½”.

The mobile phone can be unlocked with facial recognition. However, Google relies on the image data from the selfie camera and does without the sensors offered by the iPhone. So this unlock method is much less secure than Apple’s Face ID. it costs 900 dollars.

With a screen diagonal of 6.8 inches (2,800 x 1,260 pixels) and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, the panels output 10-bit color with a maximum brightness of up to 1,300 nits. This combination produces an average density of 453 pixels per inch, a ratio of 90.9%.

The most outstanding thing about the X90 Pro+ is the technology that Vivo has adapted for its main camera, powered by a 1-inch 50-megapixel IMX989 sensor, with a lens aperture of f/1.75, which lets in more light .

It comes with a 90mm periscope-type telephoto lens with a 64MP sensor. It also has a 50-megapixel portrait mode lens and a 48-megapixel wide-angle quarter.

The first three cameras have OIS, autofocus and are assisted by a laser system. As for the front camera, it has a 32MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.45.

The battery is 4,870mAh. It supports up to 80W plugged in, completes a charge in 33 minutes, and wireless charging reaches 50W. The SoC is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and a 12GB RAM.

It comes with an optical and ultrasonic fingerprint reader under the screen. As for connectivity, they have 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2. and USB-C compatibility. It’s $950.

It has a slightly curved 6.81-inch OLED panel and LTPO technology, capable of adapting its 120Hz as needed. The brightness surpasses the panel, reaches 1800 nits.

On the back, it mounts a triple camera that includes three 50-megapixel sensors. It is a prime, ultra wide-angle and telephoto lens capable of capturing images with an optical zoom of 3.5x and a digital zoom of up to 100X.

The company has included its own camera chip called the Image Engine. It is complemented by a capture algorithm called Falcon, which allows you to take sharper photos in scenes with movement or low light.

The chip also has some AI-powered features, such as being able to identify the highest point of a jump to capture that frame. It’s worth $1,200.

The emergence of a new player always hits the heart of the industry. In this case it is Tecno, a young Chinese telephone company that has conquered the African market and showed its novelties at MWC 2023.

The Phantom’s external screen is 6.42 inches and its resolution is 1,080 by 2,550 pixels, with an elongated aspect ratio. The refresh rate is 120Hz, with LTPO technology. It is protected with Gorilla Glass Victus. The internal one is also AMOLED, 7.95 inches (2,296 by 2,000 pixels), and brightness is 1,100 nits peak in both.

At the processor level, it wears a Mediatek Dimensity 9000+, one of the few SOCs capable of overshadowing Apple’s A16 Bionic and which focuses on performance. As for autonomy, the device incorporates a 5,000 mAh battery for the dual screen. It can be powered with the included 45W charger and up to 40% in 15 minutes.

The camera set consists of a 50MP main sensor (f/1.9), a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x magnification, and a 13MP 120-degree wide-angle lens. On the front it has a 32MP camera and on the internal screen, another 16MP camera that can be combined for a double shot.

Its software is based on Android 13, but customized by the HiOS layer developed by the company. Its interface is a mix between MIUI and EMUI. It includes a large number of its own applications and a design that seems to be inspired by iOS. It costs $1,099.
