sony held its most anticipated virtual event so far this year, PlayStation Showcase, where it showcased much more of the upcoming exclusive video games coming to playstation 5 AND Playstation VR 2, its virtual reality headset. The device was unveiled Wednesday during the hour-long digital event it’s codenamed for Q Project and it should come out on sale at the end of 2023.
“Later this year we will be launching a dedicated device that will allow you to stream any game from your PS5 using Remote Play. via Wi-Fi”said Jim Ryan, CEO and President of Sony Interactive Entertainment, in one of his appearances during the Showcase.
Sony explained that the device has an 8-inch screen capable of 1080p resolution and up to 60 images per second. It also has all the buttons and features of the PS5 DualSense wireless controller, including haptic vibration.
Judging by what Sony has put forward, it will be necessary to play games on this device have it installed on the PS5 itself. However, it is not yet clear whether it will be possible to play outdoors via mobile connection.

PlayStation Showcase 2023: the video games presented
Although of what Q Project captured all eyes, the focus of the event, as usual, were the exclusive video game announcements for the PlayStation 5 console. A flurry of trailers featuring the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, Alan Wake 2 and new images of Wonder spider man 2.
