PlayStation has announced video games to be included in its PS Plus service fix, which will officially launch on June 13 in North America.
The subscription currently offered to customers gives them free access to a selection of games, which will change each month. This offer will be renewed for the new version of PS Plus, which is intended to compete with the Xbox Game Pass and has three tiers, each offering more benefits in exchange for a higher price.
The first level, called PS Plus Essential (The Essential) exactly represents the current PS Plus offer, at the same price of $ 11.99 per month or $ 69.99 per year.
New benefits will begin in the second tier, PS Plus Extra (The Extra), which will add one hundred recent titles from the PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PlayStation 5 (PS5) consoles to the library of available games. Popular and recognized titles such as God ng war, Horizon Zero dawn at Pula Dead Redemption 2 will be included in the lot, which can be downloaded for free. The price of this subscription will be $ 17.99 per month or $ 114.99 per year.
Named the third level PS Plus Premium will further push the addition of content by allowing paid downloads of classic games from older consoles such as the PlayStation 1 (PS1) and PlayStation Portable (PSP), but up to date. PlayStation 3 (PS3) titles will also be included in the original format. This subscription will also offer a free trial for a few hours of several new PS5 features, including Cyberpunk 2077, WWE 2K22 at Horizon Forbidden West. This final level of subscription will be offered at a cost of $ 21.99 per month or $ 139.99 per year.
Extras and Premium subscriptions will also see their list of free games updated twice a month and not just once as happens with Essential subscriptions.
Montreal games offered with subscription
In addition to the benefits already mentioned, people who choose to take advantage of Extra and Premium subscriptions will be able to download certain titles from French developer Ubisoft, which makes some of its games in Montreal. This is particularly the case of the successful Assassin’s Creed series, which is the latest opus Valhalla is the number of games offered on the PS Plus. For honor at Far Cry 4 is also part of the batch of games that the service will offer, both also developed at Ubisoft’s Montreal and Toronto studios.
The video game giant is thus combining its personal subscription, named Ubisoft+, with the PlayStation offer. Ubisoft +, already available on PC, offers a hundred titles and also allows its customers to download new games once they launch, which will not be possible on PS Plus.
