The ease of creating groups within WhatsApp is the opposite of the promise represented by declining an invitation or leaving the room visible to all participants, leaving a sign that says “… leave group “. But this recklessness will soon have a peaceful solution.

Ayon WABetaInfothe company is working on a new feature consisting of do not post in general chat when someone leaves the group. However, it won’t be as simple as crossing the sidewalk, because the notification will only be received by the group administrator.

The first indication that this feature is in the works came a few months ago when Meta spoke about the possibility of treating WhatsApp chats as communities.

In the official Meta statement, they explained that these communities are to combine different groups “under the same group with a structure that works for users.” And by treating groups as communities, Meta is looking for ways to avoid awkward moments.

The idea is that only the administrator will receive the notification.

The idea is that only the administrator will receive the notification.

Proof of this integration is a screenshot of the Beta version of WhatsApp where you will see a message warning “only you and the group administrators will receive a notification that you have left the group”.

The new WhatsApp functionality will have a first release date in the browser version where administration is simpler and later it will also be added to the app for Android and iOS.

To prevent an unauthorized person from adding an account to a group, there is an option to restrict this action. From Account Settings you will need to select Privacy and from there, select who are the people who have permission to add others to a group.

Everything was formerly part of a toxic group where topics are discussed that one person does not wish to debate or where one does not wish to participate. Here are some possible strategies to avoid getting caught.

If for a classmate’s birthday the mother posted a photo and then came 300 greeting messages for the child, you need to enter the group chat, press the three-dot menu and a list of options will open.

Here you can choose mute notifications and you will have the option to do so for hours, days or indefinitely. The latter is the best option.

There are other groups that post useless and distracting content. Even if it is muted, there are times when just seeing the beginning of a message arouses curiosity and leads to intrusion.

Whether because of commitment or what they have to say, sometimes it’s not enough to leave the group. The solution is to archive the group so that it does not appear in the list of chats although one will still be part of it.

To archive a group you do not need to enter the chat. In the list of conversations, press for one or two depending on the group and switch to the arrow icon that enters a box.

When the chat is lost, the same thing happens as with muted groups: if someone mentions, the chat will be automatically unarchived and a notification will come in to show what kind of comment was made.
