Fifteen years ago, a new feature was announced with great fanfare on the Radio-Canada website. Radio-Canada.ca’s audio-video platform offers, in a single destination, a full thematic programming content and television and radio programs.
” Internet users can now have one-click access to many Radio-Canada radio and television programs, including this Téléjournal. “
On June 7, 2007, Bernard Derome made the announcement on Newscast. The new platform was presented earlier to the press by Sylvain Lafrance, senior vice-president of French Services at Radio-Canada. In his report, journalist Jean-François Bélanger offers a tour of this “universe”.
The audio-video zone he displays allows us to monitor the programming portion live or consult programs by browsing by theme, genre or program type.
The journalist in his report describes the use of the Internet as a means of dissemination as a major trend. The new audio -video platform – which replaces the Zapmédia tool – addresses the growing demand for watching radio and TV programs online.
Audiences and viewers are gradually becoming more volatileobservation by Jean-François Bélanger in 2007. They demand more interactivity and above all broadcast programs that fit their schedule rather than the other way around.
