Equipped with a helmet and backpack, everyone who takes part in the experience is instantly transported to a virtual world. Introduced by an avatar, he first enters the center of the pyramid before taking a walk through its galleries.
The visit ends with the discovery of the king’s bedroom as well as the view from the top of the reconstructed pyramid.
To enhance the atmosphere, the visit is held mainly on a flying carpet made of cut stone.
An educational initiative
The Egyptian goddess Bastet (in the form of a giant cat) serves as a guide and is accompanied by monaa character particularly responsible for detailing the qualitative construction of the pyramids.
In all, about fifty people can take part in this immersive experience at once.
This initiative is the result of three years of work led by the company Emissive, which is already managing the immersive experience related to the restoration of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris.
This company, which has been developing this technology close to video games for 15 years, wants to put virtual reality at the service of culture.
