The social network Twitter is preparing the launch of a new function allowing the publication of long texts. According to TechCrunch, with Twitter Notes, users will be able to post real articles.

This would be one of Twitter’s biggest changes since it doubled the number of characters allowed in its tweets from 140 to 280 in 2017.

TechCrunch reports that this feature is being tested with some people before launching publicly. However, the outlet says Twitter declined to comment, but said news about the feature would be revealed soon.

Twitter regularly tests new features with a limited number of accounts. Last May, this was the case for Circle (circle, in French), which allows you to publish messages reserved for a restricted group of no more than 150 people.

Earlier, in April, the social network announced that it was working on a button to edit a message in the event of a misspelling or other error. A function that Twitter users have been asking for a long time.
