Elon Musk and his sons went to visit Pope Francis.
Pope Francis met the tech mogul, co-founder of Tesla and SpaceX and the richest person in the world, Elon Musk, for about 40 minutes at his Santa Marta residence this Friday.
It was Musk who confirmed the meeting by posting a photo on Twitter in which he is seen together with Pope Francis and four of his seven children.
The meeting took place on Friday afternoon at Casa Santa Marta and was not on Francisco’s official agenda, like many of the private meetings that the pontiff holds with different personalities in his residence.
According to Italian media, Tesla’s chief executive wanted to show the pope his vision on how to best use technology to improve the world.
Honored to have met the pontiff, Musk wrote in his tweet to comment on the photo in which he appears with four of his children, born from his first marriage to the writer Justine Wilson.
The pope and the South African nationalized American businessman agree on their concern for the environment and the low birth rate in developed countries. EFE
