The POT on Tuesday began releasing a wave of images taken with the James Webb Space Telescope, the most powerful observatory to have been put into orbit.
“This morning, people from all over the planet will see the images captured by this telescope and each image is a new discovery“said the NASA administrator, Bill Nelson.
“Each of them will give humanity a view of the universe that we have never seen before,” he added, hours after President Joe Biden showed the first deeper infrared image of the universe.
The second image revealed is a detailed, spectacular and colorful nebula of the South Ring2,500 light years away.

The snapshot shows it planetary nebula formed by several starsa dying man who for thousands of years has been emitting rings of gas and dust.
The series of photographs was shown one by one in a live broadcast from the American space agency (NASA), the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Canadian agency (CSA).
