A call for votes

This is the first time that the solidarity marathon will support various associations. This decision follows the controversy generated by the initial election of the GoodPlanet foundation, accused of “greenwashing” for its alliances with TotalEnergies or BNP Paribas. Given the reactions and the withdrawal of the latter, a call for votes was launched to designate the five associations, oriented to the environment, that will benefit from the amount collected.

Adrien Nougaret, better known by his pseudonym ZeratoR, revealed the netizens’ choice. Sea Sheperd France and the League for the Protection of Birds (LPO) were in the lead with 15.3 and 12.8% of the votes.

Although the main organizers (Adrien Nougaret and Alexandre Dachary) have announced a change in format for future editions, the two friends will already have to adapt their event, as pointed out by a Twitter user.

a twisted edition

ZeratoR usually hosts a representative from the ZEvent-supported association. Last year, Lucie Codiasse, director of communications for Action Against Hunger, responded to questions from donors. The objective of this culminating point of the marathon is to detail the operation of the structure, the projects carried out with the funds raised, but also to return to the missteps or blunders that occurred in the past.

Now linked to five associations, the organizers of the event have not yet provided details on the organization of this question and answer phase. Like every year, the money raised must be used only for the operational part of the associations. ZeratoR has warned that this inverted edition will not escape the rule.

The 2021 edition of ZEvent raised more than 10 million euros for Action Against Hunger.
