Nintendo reveals the ranking of the best-selling games on Switch

The Japanese manufacturer has updated the list of the most popular titles on its flagship console. Unsurprisingly, the top ten best-selling games on Switch are all published by Nintendo.

Since the beginning of the year, Nintendo Switch has become the Japanese manufacturer’s best-selling console. On August 3, the company announced during its Q1 2022/2023 financial results that it had sold over 111 million copies of its latest console. But what about the games?

On their site, the group has updated the list of the best-selling titles from the Switch’s launch in March 2017 to June 30. Unsurprisingly, the top ten spots are occupied by Nintendo-published games. This is the company’s main strategy to generate sales: having a panel of exclusive games based on flagship video game licenses.

Animal Crossing, the game of contention

Aware of this enthusiasm, the company is capitalizing on this success by offering bundles where the racing game is included with the purchase of the Switch. Second, the game of contention. Animal Crossing: New Horizons reached 39.38 million copies sold. This life simulation immediately won over gamers with 5 million copies sold in the month of its release alone in March 2020.
