The Netflix platform, which allows you to watch series and movies in streaming, is going through what appears to be a major blackout, this Friday, August 19, in the afternoon. Some subscribers report that they are unable to access content on the platform.
In France, the website, but also the app, display an official platform error message or the mention “blocked”.
On the DownDetector site, which allows incidents to be reported on digital platforms, more than 3,000 cases have been registered in France since around 5:00 p.m. on August 10, a particularly high figure for France.
The breakdown does not appear to be limited to France. On Twitter, many French, Spanish, and English-speaking users are also reporting that they are unable to access the streaming service.
At this time, the nature of the fault is unknown. The company has not yet commented on the matter.
