If missing pet listings are legion, some are less innocuous than others. The white wolf of a company of artists from Ille-et-Vilaine has escaped into the wild for 20 days in Morbihan, reports West of France this Monday.
“I want to save the she-wolf, find her alive,” her owner waits worried.
The incident occurred on August 9. During a show offered in the town of Beignon, in Morbihan, southwest of Rennes, the wolf escapes the attention of its owner.
The 12-year-old animal, however, does not seem to have gone very far, as he was seen on several occasions, particularly near a military camp located in Guer, a town near his place of disappearance.
“No dangerous”
His owner, who acknowledges “professional misconduct,” nonetheless wants to be reassuring in the event of a chance encounter between a walker and the canine.
“She is not dangerous, as soon as she sees a human she leaves,” he told the local newspaper, about the animal born in captivity.
Same speech by the police who assure that there is no concern for the surrounding inhabitants.
“She’s a tame she-wolf, she didn’t attack anyone. She’s no more dangerous than a stray dog,” said the second-in-command of Ploërmel’s gendarmerie company.
The search continues and traps have been set to try to get their hands on the wolf, after almost three weeks of searching.
