Guilherme Di Giacomo, 34, from Sao Paulo, nearly six of whom live in London, UK, has managed to be temporarily discharged from the hospital due to pneumonia, where he was expected to undergo lung surgery to go to the vote this Sunday (2 /10).

“I was raised anti-PT. But after the dismissal of former president Dilma Rousseff, my opinion of the PT changed.”
Di Giacomo said that he started to have a high fever with body aches on September 12 and has been hospitalized since September 26. It took him four trips to the hospital before doctors decided to admit him after an exam showed his lung was affected by bacterial pneumonia.
“I was feeling so tired, I couldn’t do the simplest activities”.
He did a rapid test for covid early on, which ruled out the presence of the virus.
More than 34,000 Brazilians residing in the United Kingdom were eligible to vote in this Sunday’s elections. Voting took place in only one place, a school in west London, and voters had to face long queues.
There was no record of violence, but outside supporter groups of the two main candidates in the presidential race, Lula (PT) and Bolsonaro (PL), concentrated on opposite sides of the street, shouting slogans and cheering.
More than 697,000 voters are eligible to vote abroad this year. They can only vote for the President. The number of voters abroad represents an increase of 39.21% compared to 2018. Voting is held in 181 foreign provinces.
