The regional governor said on Thursday that two people were killed and five missing in the attacks on the southeastern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia, blaming Russia.
The Ukrainian-controlled city is located in the region of the same name that Moscow annexed, though not fully controlled.
“One woman died (at the scene) and another died in an ambulance,” Ukraine regional governor Oleksander Starukh said.
He added that at least five people remained under the rubble, before stating that rescue operations were continuing.
The governor said that seven attacks by Russian troops hit buildings.
Last week, at least 30 people were killed in an attack on a convoy of civilian vehicles near the town of Zaporizhzhia, close to the border between Ukraine-controlled parts of the region and occupied Russia.
The Russians and Ukrainians are making mutual accusations about the bombing.
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday completed the process of annexing four Ukrainian regions (Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia), but the Kremlin has not confirmed which geographic areas of each region will be effectively annexed.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said 14 people died in the Donetsk region in the last 24 hours.
