A former policeman attacked a Thai nursery with a gun and knives on Thursday (6), killing 32 people, including 23 children. Police said he killed the family and committed suicide a few minutes later.
The attack began at 12:30 am (3:30 GMT) at a day care center in Nong Bua Lam Phu in the northern region of the country. According to the police, the writer got into a car and ran over several people.
The culprit was identified as Panya Khamrab, a 34-year-old former police officer, according to Colonel Jakkapat Vijitraithaya of the state police.
After the massacre, the colonel said Khamrab killed his wife and child before committing suicide.
According to police, the children who died are between the ages of two and three.
