Ukrainians say ‘orgy’ if Russia launches nuclear strike: ‘Optimism’

Concerned by Russian President Vladimir Putin’s speech about launching a nuclear strike against the country, Ukrainians decided to propose “final action” if the threat of war was exhausted: holding a massive orgy in Kiev. According to the organizers, more than 15,000 people have already signed up for the “event” created on Telegram as a show of “Ukrainian optimism”, even in the face of complex scenarios.

Guests were told to decorate their hands with ribbons expressing their sexual interest. The organizers say the event is already so popular that “all the rental apartments overlooking the Shchekavystsa hill have disappeared from real estate websites for some reason.”

Speaking to Radio Free Europe, a woman who joined the Telegram group to express her interest said the plan epitomized Ukraine’s optimistic spirit and increased confidence about its chances in war.

“It’s the opposite of despair. Even in the worst-case scenario, people will look good,” he said. “This is the mega-optimism of the Ukrainians.”

Another potential contributor said, “It’s an attempt to show that the more they try to scare us, the more we’ll turn that fear into something else. Humor helps. It’s a response to the Russian threat.”

The Telegram channel, which promotes the event, deals with the war in a humorous tone. Recently, the channel’s directors described the counterattack efforts in Kherson as “BDSM parties for the Russians.”

Last week, when an air raid siren sounded at dawn, a band member posted an excitedly smiling emoji: “Is it time?” The post immediately received more than 600 responses with smiley emojis.

While some dreamed of the party, the Kyiv authorities began to distribute potassium-iodine pills, fearing a nuclear attack. The Ukrainian capital’s council has confirmed that it is supplying pills to evacuation centers in preparation for a possible nuclear attack.

Potassium iodine can help prevent harmful radiation uptake by the thyroid gland in the event of a nuclear disaster – whether taken just before or just after nuclear radiation exposure.

Kyiv officials said they would distribute the pills to areas contaminated with nuclear radiation if evacuation was needed.
