A woman received harsh responses on social media after posting a video of herself plucking her daughter’s eyebrows. Leah Garcia, 31, from Texas, she responded to criticism, claiming that she is not a bad mother for giving her daughter, Bliss, the treatment for her eyebrows.
Leah, of Hispanic origin, was teased during his childhood for having thick, dark hair, as well as very thick eyebrows that had almost no parting in the middle. “She was a monobrow,” she says.
The woman noticed that her two daughters were similar to her, so she wanted to prevent them from undergoing the same cruel teasing she had to endure as a child. As a result, she decided to start plucking her eyebrows their two daughters, Beeautti, 11, and Bliss, three.
But his decision has drawn backlash from people who say he could make your daughter feel insecure About something you shouldn’t know.
Leah said, “Bliss was just over two when I started plucking her. Bliss and her sister Behautti are eight years old together, and Bliss always saw me plucking her older sister’s eyebrows, so she asked me if she could shave too“.
“People say things to talk. You have no idea. I wanted to wax it because the sooner the waxing starts, the less it grows back. With Behautti, who is 11, she now barely has an eyebrow because we’ve been brushing her for a long time, “the woman said.
Leah explained that she has the best of intentions when she asks her daughters if you want to wax: She has been relentlessly bullied at school for her looks and doesn’t want her kids to experience the same.
“All three of us have very thick hair that comes from my Hispanic roots. I am very hairy and I remember being younger and younger. none of my brothers were hairy like me and they made fun of me. At school the same thing, I suffered a lot from this problem, “she went on to explain.
“But then my parents wouldn’t let me shave. Until one day i shaved instead of waxing and it was worse because he looked really bad and everyone teased him worse. That’s why when people say I’m making Bliss insecure, I laugh and think there’s nothing in the world that can make her feel insecure. She is a very confident girl, “she said.
On social media, many other parents have accused her project your insecurities about her daughter, but said bullying upsets people and she doesn’t want her daughter to have to go through what she’s been through.
“I’m not training her to be insecure, I just want my daughter to feel good. I’ve never met anyone whose unibrow trusted her, quite the opposite. Sometimes she would like me to wax her and sometimes she won’t, but I will never force it. I teach my daughters to be themselves without apologizing and I know them better than anyone else in the world. ”
