A bar customer’s beer order was rejected and he decides to return to the establishment with a chainsaw to get revenge. The owners of the Atalaya bar in Pontevedra, Spain, claim that the culprit owes the establishment.
It all started a few days before the incident, when the alleged attacker got drunk and left a few drinks at the bar without paying, according to the La Vanguardia website. The owners of the place then decided to ban the child from entering and asked him not to go there for at least a few days.
But two days later the man paid the 15 euros he owed the bar and asked the waiter for another beer. What he didn’t expect was that the employee would refuse to do so to avoid reliving a default situation.
Angered that he didn’t get his beer, the man left the bar and then returned with a chainsaw, threatening the owners. The situation left employees and customers in shock.
The swift action of a customer who knew him as working alongside the attacker was able to avert any incident by turning off the chainsaw. Meanwhile, a waiter closed the place.
The owners made no complaints. When the Spanish national police arrived, the client was no longer there, but agents were still able to identify him.
Now, authorities are examining the incident as a “minor threat” as the owners have not filed a complaint.
