For those folks who blindly trust Ryan Murphy’s version of events, beware: not everything is as it seems.

The extreme curiosity for the brutal “Milwaukee Butcher” was highlighted once again in a video titled “20 Things You Didn’t See in Dahmer”, which in a few hours surpassed one million three hundred thousand views on YouTube.

In the clip, youtuber CharlieTales breaks down the things seen in Netflix series that weren’t true in real life, plot details that are strangely true and the other way around: what the fiction actually happened hides.

Among the most relevant that the showrunner has chosen to omit is the self-imposed rule of showing everything from the point of view of the victims.

For Murphy, connecting the viewer to the killer’s point of view would have been idealizing the criminal. For this reason, viewers are more distant than ever from Dahmer’s version of events.

Another detail that Netflix missed has to do Figure of David DummerJeffrey’s younger brother who is not important in the series but was actually very impressed with the killer’s actions.

Another difference between fact and fiction is that Jeffrey’s father is said to have received more than 15 complaints from relatives of the victims for his book about his son in the series, when in fact he only received two.
