Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said today that Russia will not refuse a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Joe Biden at the upcoming G20 meeting and will consider the offer if accepted.

The next meeting of the group is scheduled for next month, and the two leaders will meet face-to-face for the first time since the start of the war in Ukraine on February 24.

Speaking to state television, Lavrov said that Russia is willing to listen to any proposal regarding peace talks, but cannot predict what this process will lead to.

The minister accused the United States of involvement in the conflict. Lavrov also stated that the USA has been involved in the war in Ukraine for a long time.

“It seems to me that the Americans have really been involved in this war for a long time,” said the Chancellor. “This war is controlled by the Anglo-Saxons,” he added.

Negotiations were rejected by Moscow. Lavrov also said officials, including White House national security spokesman John Kirby, said the United States was open to negotiations but Russia had refused.

“This is a lie,” said Lavrov. “We have not received any serious offers to contact.”
