The race to crown the next World Series champion is already starting to pick up speed.

The postseason, with a new format
This year’s postseason will feature a new format, expanding the group of teams from 10 to 12 and replacing the two sets of single elimination wild cards with four sets of best of three wild cards, followed by the split best of five. Series.

The featured American League Championship Series kicks off Wednesday, October 19 on TBS. If necessary, NLCS Game 7 is scheduled for Tuesday 25 October, while ALCS Game 7 is scheduled for Wednesday 26 October.
The winners of NLCS and ALCS will meet in the 2022 World Series, with the Fall Classic scheduled for Saturday, November 5, if seven matches are required.
