The lucky one from Coulsdon, south London (UK), won a jackpot of the 2014 million euros.
The life of this enthusiastic car lover has taken a turn, but not as he expected.
I knew I was going to win the lottery
“I knew it one day I would be a millionaireand somehow I knew I was going to win the lottery, “he confessed in an interview broadcast by The Mirror.
He regularly reassured friends, colleagues and family, almost as if he lacked sanity.
“I used to tell my father that I would have a house with a lake and he would say, ‘In your dreams, son, in your dreams,'” she added.
Neil even had a strange premonition about his luck, prompting him to tell his father’s office staff on the day of his victory: “Tomorrow at this time I will be a millionaire.”
A few hours later, his EuroMillions Lucky Dip earned him £ 107,932,603.20 (something like $ 125 million), making him the fourth largest lottery winner in the country at that time.
A Jaguar and a Porsche with the mansion
The Camelot group, which runs the lottery, had advised him not to do anything with his winnings right away.
However, true to his dream, he spent the money on a spectacular palace with its lake located on 160 hectares of land.
Neil worked as a mechanic. And as expected, he also set aside some of the money to treat himself to a couple of tastings: swapped his Ford Focus for a Jaguar and a Porsche.
Amidst the confusion, she made another planned decision: quit her job to immerse herself in her new life of luxury and leisure.
But far from what the world could imagine, some questions started some time later.
“Going from having to work to not having to work was a rather strange thing to adapt to. I found out early on sitting at home watching tv all day was pretty boring“.
