This Saturday was a time of tension Brazil, where a deputy of Jair Bolsonaro chased a follower with a gun Lula da Silva the day before the presidential ballot.
This is the legislator Carla Zambelli, who was filmed in the Jardins de São Paulo neighborhood pointing to a man and threatening him with death in the middle of the street.
The accident reportedly took place on the corner of Lorena and Joaquim Eugenio streets in Lima, 800 meters from the farewell caravan of the campaign carried out by the former Brazilian president on Paulista Avenue.
In the video, which immediately went viral on social networks, the woman is seen walking with a gun behind a progressive militant who sought refuge in a local area by her.
The deputy is one of Jair Bolsonaro’s main allies and is being prosecuted by electoral justice as part of the campaign to spread false information about Lula.
After the event that took place this Saturday, the woman defended herself and justified herself by threatening to kill the militants who were gathering to support Lula Da Silva in view of the ballot.
Brazilian media stressed that Zambelli claimed that “the action was due to an attack perpetrated against him by Lula’s followers” and that is why he reacted with his weapon.
Similarly, the deputy filmed a video on Instagram in which he filed a police complaint.
This is not the first violent act to occur in the context of electoral campaigns in Brazil: last Sunday the far right Roberto Jefferson resisted arrest by throwing three grenades and 20 rifle shots at federal police officers.
As a result, the man gave himself up in a lawsuit for attacking democracy.
Regarding what happened, Zambelli had said that he was cutting off relations with Jefferson because it was intolerable to shoot police officers.
