In Chicago, USA, 14 people, including three children, were injured when a driver opened fire from the front of a street last night.

The action was recorded in the East Garfield Park neighborhood during the country’s traditional Halloween holiday, when parents and children often walked the streets and knocked on doors to ask for candy.

But according to ABC News, the victims gathered in the neighborhood on a vigil on behalf of a woman who died of natural causes.

According to police, two people were seriously injured, including a three-year-old boy who was shot in both legs. The ages of the injured are between 3 and 56.

In addition to the 3-year-old, the other youngest victims are 11 and 13 years old. No death record.

According to local police superintendent David Brown, the shooting took place “within a few seconds” and the motive for the attack is still unclear. The driver, who has not been arrested so far, was injured by hitting a woman while fleeing, and he was injured as well.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot said in a statement that the case was “another example of gun violence by cowards who opened fire indiscriminately.”
